This is Sergio, his mom, and his little brother. Sergio has been coming to the Feeding Center at G.R.A.C.E for 6 years and will be a student at the future school. Which means he will also have access to G.R.A.C.E Health Clinic! We want to share a bit of Sergio’s story with you today.
Years ago, someone from the G.R.A.C.E team met Sergio in the dump, he was very clearly malnourished. His mom is a widow and does whatever she can to provide for her family. They own no home or land, and squat in the home in this photo. They have no running water or electricity, only a single light that is run off of a solar panel Sergio earned last year. 2 weeks ago, Sergio’s mom had her teeth cleaned, at the age of 45.
We have so much hope for Sergio’s future, and the future of his family. And we believe that the answer to generational poverty is education, which Sergio will be receiving at the G.R.A.C.E school. But we also believe, that the Lord has given us a strategy to care for health needs of the poor and malnourished in El Tejar, through the G.R.A.C.E Health Clinic.
We invite you to be a part of this health Clinic, we invite you to change the lives of those living in poverty, just like Sergio and his family. Visit https://gracemedicalguatemala.org/donate/ to partner with us today.
